エスモード東京・大阪ともに経済産業省繊維課（日本のファッション産業を統括する部署）により外国人留学生受入を認可されております。入学時・在籍時の「留学」ビザ更新はもちろん卒業後の就労資格取得についても留学生担当スタッフが援助・代行します。
外国籍の方は基本的にⅠ部（昼間部）のみに出願可能です。（Ⅱ・Ⅲ部は授業時間数の関係から「留学」在留資格の取得が不可能）Ⅱ・Ⅲ部での学習をご希望の場合は、「留学」以外の在留資格（家族滞在・日本人の配偶者・人文知識/国際業務など）をあらかじめ取得している必要があります。
4・10月生ともに受付は６月１日から開始し、各学科・コースとも定員になり次第締め切らせていただきます。補欠募集については別途ご確認ください。
出願に際し、以下の書類をご準備ください。
上記資料（など）確認後、追って受験日をお知らせします
書類審査及び面接を課します。受験後１０日以内に、合否通知を郵送いたします。
２０１１年度現在のところ本国または日本において大学卒業資格を有しない学生に対しては、卒業後の就労資格が認められにくい状況にあります。（他専門学校卒業生も同様）しかしエスモード東京・大阪では所轄省庁である経済産業省また法務省とも綿密に連係し、高卒資格しか得ていない方への就業資格が実現するべく取り組んでいます。
その他、大卒資格を有する方については日本人学生と全く同等に就職指導をします。企業によっては日本人学生と遜色ないほどの採用意欲をもっている会社もあります。日本企業は皆さんのパワーを求めています！
授業はすべて日本語（一部フランス語）で指導します。上記入学資格をクリアしていても万一授業が分からない場合はまず留学生相談室スタッフにご相談ください。選択授業で「日本語」も準備されています。
＊ インターナショナルクリエイティブ学科（英語クラス）に出願希望の方へ。 本学科はすべて英語（または日本人講師に英語通訳スタッフが付き添う形式）で行なわれますが、在留資格「留学」を取得するための手続は前項 入学資格と同等です。

The procedure to get the study Visa, the qualifications are the same as written in the first part (Visa qualifications).

ESMOD offers the highest education for graduated overseas students entering the fashion world in Japan, in their mother country or any other country.
Besides the specialty knowledge training of the fashion industry, the staff will guide you for: the employment procedure from writing the entering sheet to finding an employment, the presentation process and advice you anytime for the work qualifications.
The school will kindly guide you from the first step in the same way as japanese students until achieving your own goal.

According to the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (The Department that unifies the Japan fashion industry), ESMOD Tokyo and Osaka accept foreign overseas students.
The school staff will of course help and support you from the entrance period to get the study abroad Visa and also after graduating for the work qualifications.
For overseas students, it is only possible to apply for the courses from the Department I Daytime course because of the hours of courses.
Unfortunately it is not possible to apply for the Department II and III.
The hours of courses are not enough.
In case you are interested in the Department II and III, you have to be able to justify one of the following conditions: family stay, a japanese partner, specialist in humanities, international business for example.
About the japanese language ability needed to obtain the pre-college visa, we have the determined standard level required by the Japanese government. It is one of the documents to present to the Japanese Immigration Office.
If you were the beginner, you would have to take at least 6 months of Japanese lessons at the language school designated by Ministry of Justice. After 6 months of serious study, you will have the qualification for application.
If you were the intermediate, your ability would have to be proven by the following Japanese language certificate examination:
Japanese-Language Proficiency Test by “Japan Educational Exchanges and Services” and “Japan Foundation”
Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students by “Japan Student Services Organization”
To be considered for admission to ESMOD JAPON, students must receive one of the following results:
Level 1 or 2 on the Japanese Language Proficiency Test
Minimum score of 200 on the examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students
If you would like to take our fashion course with student status, we advise you to start to learn Japanese as soon as possible for the first preparation to come to Japan.
We accept the entrance application from the 1st of June for the courses beginning from October and April.
After judgment of the documents required for the application, you have an interview (to know the reasons why you would like to study at ESMOD, how motivated you are, your project after graduating…).
The result is sent by post within 10 days.

In 2011, students not in possession of the University graduation qualification in the own country or in Japan is not able to get the work permit after the graduation. (The same condition is applied for technical schools)But at ESMOD Tokyo and Osaka, being the Jurisdiction Office, the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) in collaboration with the Ministry of Justice is thinking about a way to accept students in possession of the high school graduate diploma to get the employment status.
For the rest, for students graduated from University, the conditions are the same as for japanese students.
According to some companies, the employment activity is wide, open to each one of you like for japanese students.
Japanese companies are looking and asking for your power.
All the courses are taught in japanese (one course in french).
Even if you passed the entrance exam and that you realize that you have difficulties to understand the courses, please come to the staff and ask for a consultation.
