Since the foundation of ESMOD Japon, Designing (Stylisme) and Pattern Making (Modélisme) have been the two pillars of our educational program. While maintaining these two pillars as a solid foundation on which to build, we have been able to adapt to ever-changing world trends through the introduction of new curricula, allowing students to successfully progress from the basics to the cutting edge of creation in the industry.

The main goal of the Creative Fashion program is to turn students into original and inventive contemporary creators who, on graduating, are ready to present innovative works to the industry.

INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE FASHION

INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE FASHION
  • Study Abroad Department
  • Department of International Creative Fashion

Taking advantage of ESMOD’s vast international network, the International Creative Fashion program develops students’ abilities to foresee world needs and to evolve their creative visions to reflect this international awareness.

By combining expertise and intercultural awareness with study abroad experience and language skills, students can expand their opportunities in various markets. Worldwide demand for fashion professionals who can work effectively in cross-cultural contexts while maintaining their individual personalities and philosophies is growing, and ESMOD students are uniquely suited to fill this demand.

During the first two years of the International Creative Fashion program, students learn the fundamentals and progress to advanced fashion studies at ESMOD Japon. Their third and final year is spent at ESMOD Paris, where they create their graduation collections and are then eligible to receive diplomas from ESMOD Paris.

FASHION BUSINESS

FACULTY OF FASHION BUSINESS
  • Basic Course in Fashion Business
  • Department of Fashion Technology

In the Fashion Business program, students study the most up-to-date information on the dynamic fashion industry in order to gain a global business understanding and develop the critical thinking skills needed to consider the future of this ever-evolving industry.

Though there are many and varied job options in the fashion world, they fall into three major categories: creation (planning); production; and merchandising (distribution and sales). True expertise in the business of fashion requires an understanding of these three sectors and the way they interact.

We live in an era in which fashion is present in our everyday lives. Because of this, quality project planning and analysis, an understanding of trends, and knowledge of international business are required for fashion management. From luxury brands to fast fashion, we produce next-generation, future-oriented professionals with these necessary skills.
