Teachers and lecturers at ESMOD Japon have experience in collection brand fields and are still working in these sectors.They teach fashion history and design,as well as professional knowledge and techniques of clothe making,from the basics to practice. They will help you to form and express your original view of the world.

Graduated from Kyoto Saga Art College, ESMOD Paris and Studio Berçot. Worked for ISSEY MIYAKE and Zucca as an assistant designer at MIYAKE DESIGN STUDIO. President of etudemains,designer of popupdress.

Graduated from ESMOD Paris. Worked for Marani – L’Eclaireur – Commune de Paris, 1871 – 2G2L Fashion Design and Consulting.

Élodie Burette

Designer and freelance illustrator. Graduated from Studio Berçot. Worked for Balenciaga, Christian Dior, Yves Saint-Laurent, Tory Burch, Artizia and beautiful people as a designer.

Iwao Kawashima

Graduated from Clothing vocational school. Worked as a patternmaker at Yohji Yamamoto and Massimo Monte Forte in Italy.

Shigeki Fujita

Worked for Abahouse International and nanamica, currently working as a freelance designer.

Harunobu Murata

Graduated from ESMOD Japon and Milano Marangoni Fashion Institute. Winner of the Kobe Fashion Contest. Worked for JOHN RICHMOND and as a womenswear designer at JIL SANDER.President of HARUNOBUMURATA, based in Tokyo and Milano, Italy.

Romain Urnel

Graduated from ESMOD Paris. Worked for Maison Jean-Charles de Castelbajac and Marithé+François Girbaud. Started a brand in 2012. In charge of menswear at Y/project. Modelism teacher at Atelier Chardon Savard. Menswear Grand Prix Winner at Dinard International Fashion Festival in 2012.

Freelance patternmaker. Graduated from Clothing vocational school. Worked for Yohji Yamamoto as a patternmaker.

Chieko Aoshika

Freelance patternmaker. Graduated from Japan Women’s University and Hosono Fashion School. Studied under Mr. Hisashi HOSONO, a haute couture designer. After working for several prêt-à-porter companies as chief patternmaker, nowworking as a freelance patternmaker for Tokyo Collection.

Fumika Ishiguro

Freelance patternmaker and designer. Worked for COMME des GARÇONS and NOZOMI Ishiguro.

Yoshiko Ogino

Freelance patternmaker. Worked for COMME des GARÇONS as a patternmaker. President of her private atelier.

Kazuyo Kato

Patternmaker. Graduated from ESMOD Paris, majored in stylism and modelism. Worked for planning department of Sanyo Shokai. Worked as modelism teacher at ESMOD Beijing. Representative of Atelier Kato.

Designer. Graduated from University of the Arts London. Worked for ANGLOBAL and COMME des GARÇONS as a patternmaker at COMME des GARÇONS. President of Hashizume design office.
